Genre 1: Philadelphia Chromosome
For this genre I chose to write small paper on the Philadelphia chromosome included with pictures and diagrams and how exactly the gene abnormality occurs. I chose to do a genre on this topic because it is one of the leading causes of leukemia, and is an actual proven genetic error in people with leukemia, verse some sort of hematology issue which is found in a lot of leukemia patients.

Genre 2: Stem Cells Pro vs. Con
For my second genre I decided to research and create one on the study of stem cells. Stem cells are one of the leading, and most effective ways in treating patients with leukemia. The large controversy between the pro and con sides of stem cell research was very intriguing to me which was another reason I chose it as a topic for one of my genres. This genre includes a general informative article explaining stem cells, and the three different types. As well as two other separate articles written from a pro stem cell, and against stem cell mindset. This was the most difficult genre for me to put together because I really wanted to try and capture the mindset of someone who would be potentially writing an article like this from their specific opinionated standpoint. I had to read many biased, and quite horrifying articles in order to achieve this goal.

Genre 3: Myths vs. Facts
This genre was a fun one, not only to keep my interest going on the subject of leukemia, but to also bring a little fun to my website as well. It includes five different myths that people believe based on cancer as a whole.

Genre 4: The Perfect Baby (Savior Siblings)
For this genre, I looked into savior siblings, or donor babies as some people refer to them as. This genre ties in with my research paper, as a savior sibling can provide stem cells, blood transplants, organ transplants, and much more that each child suffering from leukemia may need at some point in their treatment. It also ties in with my genre on stem cells, because most donor babies are genetically engineered for their stem cells. The genre includes a fake letter from a savior sibling to her sister, explaining her thoughts and feelings on being a genetically engineered child. I also included diagrams to show how each savior sibling is engineered through in vitro fertilization, political cartoons, a link to a youtube video of an english professor describing what savior siblings are, and the trailer to the movie My Sisters Keeper.

Genre 5: Med-terms
This genre was a short, fifty words and includes terms that are found throughout my website that could be potentially unknown or confusing to readers. It also includes pictures for each term, to give a visual aid on the type of therapy, or genetic mutation I was defining. There were no specific sources I used directly for this genre, each definition came from my notes which were conclusive from a multitude of sources used throughout this project.
